Promptlink has a long history of providing consulting services to the broadband cable industry. We have experience acting as high-level architects, as well as plenty of hours of cable plant installation and deployment projects. Our services may be conducted on-site, or we can provide information solutions, such as come from the use of our extensive DOCSIS lab with over 1,000 DOCSIS cable modems.
The Promptlink engineering staff is composed of senior engineers with decades of experience in Unix, Internet technology, network management and DOCSIS technologies. We typically conduct Systems Integration projects on a time and materials basis.
Promptlink can support Systems Integration with the following resources:
Promptlink Systems Integration can be used also for Operations Support:
Whatever your DOCSIS needs, Promptlink can supply a solution. Contact us to discuss your unique requirements - we haven't found a DOCSIS issue yet that we can't solve! Promptlink can supply most of our software products for use on a subscription basis. Under this model, Promptlink supplies all equipment, deploys it onsite, supports it in operation, and gives comprehensive customer service and support (i.e., user training, 24X7 user support, and options for 24X7 DOCSIS network operations support). The Managed Service model reduces capital and operational expenses associated with new DOCSIS network management capabilities, while offering our customers access to the same features and functions available through a software license agreement.
Promptlink Broadband Network Services program is designed to meet the needs of the Cable operators who want to outsource some or all of the design, installation or management of their Broadband system and service offerings.
Similar to Systems Integration, Promptlink can support general consulting on a project basis. Promptlink excels at research and development in DOCSIS related fields, and we can bring to bear significant connections and resources for advanced efforts with this technology. Promptlink maintains our own lab with a large number and a wide variety of DOCSIS and PacketCable devices (over 1,200 CPE and several different CMTSs). We also maintain a connection with a university to provide access to formal scientific R&D efforts, in order to provide a high level of support and understanding, when needed.
